Learning Indicators

Percentage of correct answers per keyword

Each question is related to several keywords (sub-topics). This indicator will measure the student’s percentage of correct answers in a test or during a time period. This quantity can be used as an indication of the student’s level of understanding of sub-topics: if the percentage is low, this suggests that the student hasn’t assimilated the current or previous concepts and need to either revise the current topic or lacks some fundamentals and need to switch to easier topics; on the contrary, if the percentage is high, he/she can move to new topics.

Importance of the indicator for the students’ learning methodology:
The percentage of correct answers per keyword can be used in a method for automatically select new questions covering a set of keywords, considering the student’s level of understanding.
