BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE ORGANISATION

The UNESCO Chair has been recognized as a center of excellence for the implementation of advanced teaching and research programs designed to strengthen inter-university cooperation and increase mobility and support for educational systems in developing countries. The long-term goal is to train a generation of multidisciplinary researchers, Western and non-Western, capable of translating integrated sets of ethnomedical world knowledge according to scientific methods, and to achieve the same knowledge in different ways. This approach considers economic and social development from the strengths of traditional community economies.

HOW THE ORGANISATION WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE DISSEMINATION AND EXPLOITATION OF THE PROJECT RESULTS

UNESCO Chair is a lively community who takes advantage of its solid background in sciences and humanities. An extensive network of relationships with researchers from other universities and research centres, national and international, enriches the scientific community revolving around UNESCO Chair. UNESCO Chair participates both in EC Framework Programmes and in other important European and international research and cooperation programmes.
