Description of Dissemination Event:

Concept map group members #1: A clear learning indicator could emerge from the student ability to design their own concept map (CM) of a given subject. Since there is some people working on that issue in a department of our own university, we meet with some of them (Jesús and Beatriz) to explain iMath goals and to check if it is possible to follow their approach.

Outcomes and Results:

We have to review two books on CM to grasp the full coverage of the proposal. They also give us an English survey of Beatriz's master thesis describing the software usage, and we give them a recent journal article with potencial learning indicators from information easily extracted from the CM. After their analysis, we plan to meet again in eight months, when it will be crystal clear whether there is some budget to adapt Beatriz software to convert it into an applet that could offer the structural and complexity indicators.
